Cookies are small files stored in your browser. GeisTrack uses them to keep the site working, to show advertising, and to attribute bookings made through partner links. This page explains each type and how to change your mind.

Essential

Needed for the site to function: remembering your cookie choice, keeping an editor signed in on the admin pages, and basic security. These are always active and cannot be switched off.

Advertising

Google AdSense may set cookies to serve ads and measure their performance. If you decline, we do not load personalised advertising cookies. Google’s own handling is described in its advertising policy.

Maps

The interactive world map is served by Google Maps, which may store data locally in your browser to render tiles and remember map state.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a “Plan your visit” link, the partner (for example a hotel, flight, transfer or car rental provider) may set a cookie so a booking can be credited to GeisTrack. It never changes the price you pay.

Your choices

You can change your cookie choice at any time, or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may break parts of the site.
